A good thesis topic is a general idea that is in need of development, verification, or refutation. Your thesis topic should be of interest to you, your advisor, and the research community. ... Your thesis topic should relate to what you've been studying and should stand up to scrutiny.

Your thesis should be stated somewhere in the opening paragraphs of your paper, most often as the last sentence of the introduction. Often, a thesis will be one sentence, but for complex subjects, you may find it more effective to break the thesis statement into two sentences.

The advertising design is the artwork that is visual and created for advertisements specifically. Graphic design has become synonymous with the world of advertising, and visual representations of products and services are essential for any brand to get its message across to the public.

Advertising design is the intersection of marketing and design. It refers to the visual artwork created specifically for advertisements (or, simply, “ads”). Ad design, which is usually used synonymously with graphic design advertising, differs in the fact that its sole purpose is to sell products and services.

When it comes to your ads, there are so many options for you to leverage, from digital channels like email marketing to traditional channels like magazine ads.

Traditionally referred to as graphic design, communication design is the process by which messages and images are used to convey information to a targeted audience. It is within this spectrum that this textbook will address the many steps of creating and then producing physical, printed, or other imaged products that people interact with on a daily basis. Design itself is only the first step.

It is important when conceiving of a new design that the entire workflow through to production is taken into consideration. And while most modern graphic design is created on computers, using design software such as the Adobe suite of products, the ideas and concepts don’t stay on the computer. To create in-store signage, for instance, the ideas need to be completed in the computer software, then progress to an imaging (traditionally referred to as printing) process. This is a very wide-reaching and varied group of disciplines.

Typography is the art of arranging the written word. It includes several different types of expression under its umbrella—some that have been practiced for centuries.

Many people find joy in the act of hand lettering or calligraphy. It’s calming and expressive all at the same time, and you can take your art virtually anywhere. Not only are you learning and creating, but you’re unwinding in the process. In fact, the act of creating is part of the relaxation process. From invitation lettering to designing typefaces and fonts, typographic works can bring joy into an artist’s life—and, in many cases, turn a profit in the process.

Lettering is like any other expressive art form when it comes to fulfillment. We can break from the confines of the mundane, creating fonts and other text designs that express ourselves in ways that the words sometimes can’t do on their own. Tapping into our creativity can offer immense satisfaction. In fact, research suggests that working on visual art can even improve the quality interactions between different parts of our brains.

Advanced Graphic Design integrates design principles and software, typography, digital illustration, digital imaging, page layout, and prepress techniques with emphasis on design process from visualization to production. Students will be responsible for the design and production of a fully integrated campaign consisting of major projects including several components across multiple media forms. Individual and collaborative work is expected including branding and packaging as well as prototyping for interactive media. Each student is responsible for production of design products, critiquing of designs, portfolio preparation and presentation.
