Course Description

This course covers the theory and applications of Electronics, It deals with the principles, characteristics, operation and data sheets or specifications of some electronic components, tools and equipments, Laboratory experiments are provided to achieve both theoretical and practical understanding of the course.

Course Objective

Upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to:

  1. Learn the fundamentals of electricity
  2. Measure the parameters in electricity such as voltage, current and resistance.
  3. Use of some electronics tools and instruments in the laboratory.
  4. Discuss the passive and active components.
  5. Read and identify schematic symbols.
  6. Select and categorize such devices using the data sheet/catalogues.
  7. Construct and analyze electronics circuitry.
  8. Use of solder and de-solder tools and procedures.
  9. Observe safety in the laboratory.
