This course deals with the operation, use, care, and maintenance of basic hand tools, machine tool, and measuring tools. It includes safety measures in the mechanical workshop.

This subject deals with the basic concepts on mechanical measurements, effective and safe full utilization of mechanical hand tools and operating common mechanical equipment. Bolts and nuts technology will be a major part of the subject as well as computerized based technical drawing. Practical activities will be a major component of the subject to enhance the retention of the learned theoretical principles.
